Bawling
Speaking of hitting you in the heart, I’m so not ashamed to admit I bawled while watching Finding Nemo on TV tonight, even though I’ve seen it five times. Just keep swimming, boy. Just keep swimming.

Hip To Be Square?
I’ve never sat through an entire episode of SpongeBob SquarePants; it’s mind-numbingly banal. So I don’t know if this comment applies:

Final Fantasy 7
My Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children dvd came yesterday pala! Woot!! I bought it sa Ebay. Yahuu.. Ang ganda nga ng graphics!!! Nakakatuwa sya promise! Ndi choppy yung movements ng characters and properties.. Like the hair and clothes and fur. Basta!! And the details are so realistic talaga. Yung crowd, parang mga totoong tao umasta, pati lakad! Iba-iba. ndi mechanical ang feel. Ang galing!!

South Park Takes On Scientology
I got an email from my brother yesterday imploring me to watch the latest episode of South Park. I used to watch the show when it first started airing in 1997, but I’ve since stopped because the scripts tend to be unfunny and seemingly thrown together, with an offensive concept or two to bind the whole thing together. But my brother said this episode mocked Scientology and R. Kelly’s “Trapped in the Closet” song-cycle, both of which have been the source of much of my amusement, so I had to watch.

You Know It's Bad When ...
You know it’s bad when you are on a grown-up date attending the Lord of the Rings symphony with your husband, and you lean over to tell him that this particular piece sounds like the music from the Mount Wannahockaloogie scene in Finding Nemo.

Censored.
I’ve always thought of Disney as children’s entertainment. And I’ve always assumed that comics were always the way they are today, ie one of two general memes: Kids animated stories, or superhero. Both are escapist. Turns out the history of comics tells a tale of another approach.

Butt Dumpling
Viacom is doing an insane promotion of Beavis and Butthead DVDs. The episodes were on Comedy Central this week and the movie was on MTV last night. I had forgotten how much the phrase “butt dumpling” makes me laugh.

New Imagecomics.com!
Its about time is all I have to say. The old image comics site sucked, mostly because it didn't bother to tell you what was coming out when...the main reason I go to any comic book publisher's website. However the new site fixes that, plus it looks really cool. Jumoing into a neat kinda post modern thing. Big type, interesting layout. I approve....as if they care. Now if Marvel, darkhorse and DC would revamp their sites and make them more relevant I'd be a happy panda.

The State Of Cartoons
You know, I really wonder what goes on in the mind’s of the people who make cartoon’s on Cartoon Network. I just finished watching “Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy” Oddly it is rated TVY7. Personal I think it should not even be aloud on the TV, but as I was saying I wonder who makes this shit! Most of the cartoons are pointless and just plain dumb. I have noticed that most cartoons here in the United States, well just plain suck! This is why I like Japanese Anime. Number 1. Most arnt stupid, now I have to say there are alot out there like “Super Milk Chan” that well, are no better then some of the cartoon’s here, but never the less most of anime is great. Sadly I do not get Anime Network here so I have to watch Cartoon Network for my daily dose of cartoons.

Life's Greatest Teacher
After watching 200 episodes of The Simpsons
last weekend I now feel twice as smart as before. Hmmmmm the best lessons in life are taught by our surrogate parent – TV through cartoon network and nickelodeon. Here are some of Homer Simpson’s wisdom for you to enjoy.

Old Cartoons
The cartoons today are no match for the old Warner Brothers’ cartoons. Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd and Daffy Duck are much better characters than the ones we have today on Cartoon Network or the horrible Toon Disney channel. Ok, before you begin to scoff at me, Toon Disney does have two good things about it. One, it plays Schoolhouse Rock shorts, and two, it also plays all the old classic Disney movies on Saturday afternoon. I’ll admit that sometimes I do watch Toon Disney specifically to get to see Dumbo, or Bambi, or Snow White, or Cinderella all over again like I did when I was seven or eight and we had a VCR.

Vintage Cartoons
I’ve found a nice little place that provides all those cartoons with expired copyrights. From Bugs Bunny to Superman.

Animation Exercise
For the amount of time I spent on this project, I think it turned out pretty good. I really liked some of the other animations as well. As is mentioned earlier, Ben’s is one not to miss! I was also really impressed with Liu’s. There are a number of others that deserve mention here as well, but I am a lazy typer, so forgive me if I haven’t mentioned your masterpiece!.

Cartoon Network Racist?
Come on, Adult Swim. You can give us Robot Chicken and Aqua Teen Hunger Force, which are consistently funny television shows. This is the best you can do now - retreading a comic strip that gets its best press when it savages a successful black woman for not being black enough and who says proudly that “I don’t give a f*** about what white people think”.
