Stealing Electricity From Work
While I don’t condone stealing from work either, Scott Adams (the Dilbert artist) comes up with some great material. This is classic! and what’s even funnier is that I know people who would do this!

Political Cartoonists Strike Back
Here’s a collection of US political cartoons referencing the Danish cartoon war. I figured they were worth mentioning. I’d say they’re pretty pointed in their criticism, but everyone will have to judge for themselves. [Via Instapundit.]

New Cartoon Row In The Making?
During the Danish cartoon row the question was raised who would be next. Could it be the Dutch cartoonist Gregorius Nekschot? Gregorius Nekschot stays anonymous and uses a pseudonym. Long before the Danish cartoon case even existed, he made a lot of cartoons related to politics and religion, not only about Islam.

Was Darf Meinungsfreiheit?
Turn on your google translator to read.

Clearleft Ajax Workshop
Say the user clicks a button and something updates elsewhere on the page. How do we inform them that something happened? There’s a number of answers to this question: Animations and special effects are just two of them. But what if they have a low-resolution screen, they’re using big fonts, or they’ve simply scrolled too far, leaving the vital animation or effect off-screen? What about screen-reader users - how do you tell them that only part of the screen has updated?

Church And State
The story about NASA and the stories about the Muslim world's reaction to the Danish cartoons are connected. Religion and politics need to be separate, as our founders understood, and the Bush administration does not.

Dilbert Hit Home!
The Dilbert cartoon for Feb 3rd 2006 was too painful. It reminded me way too much of a past job for a company that shall remain nameless but I bet many of you will have had a similar experience.

Mohammed Cartoons: We Have Been Here Before
All the more sad then that the Vatican has followed the British Foreign Secretary in appeasing the critics of the publication of the cartoons.

Danish Cartoons
The cartoons in question are in extremely poor taste, since they were specifically commissioned to be offensive to Muslims rather than simply funny. Nevertheless, in support of absolute freedom of speech, and in solidarity with the various news media in Europe who had the courage to stand up for what is right, I personally publish the following slightly humourous and intentionally offensive political cartoons:

The Drawing That Launched A Thousand Stones
My first thought on hearing all the condemnation, stoning and arson over the Muhammad cartoons was "Damn! We need to have more Muslim critics out there." Think of how many bad movies could be avoided if people set fire to the theaters and stoned the producers! And TV - no more Xerox copies of other hits! Music...well, let me just say this: K-Fed would be hiding. It reminds me of the Doonesbury cartoons back when the Ayatollah issued a death call for Salman Rushdie. "For Joan Collins, death!" "Oh, a PAN, Peter! That's going to hurt!"

Review: The Corpse Bride
Sarah, one of our employee said that it was a good movie, so we decided to watch it. But we just couldn’t get into it.. for reasons unknown. Maybe, it is the way the movie is done.. not really anime nor like Finding Nemo type. Just so different. I wouldn’t watch it again. But then one man’s meat is another man’s poison right..??

Getting Better All The Time
All in all I'm doing well today. For some reason there's a South park episode that keeps giving me an error message when it's almost done downloading from iTunes. I've been able to download other stuff since then, and I have my McAffee privacy service turned off (the programs hate each other). Oh well, whatever. So long as I can download the new Battlestar Galactica episode this afternoon, I'll be fine. If I have trouble with BG, then someone at Apple is going to lose a testicle.

Reprehensible Cartoons
The Islamist furor over a cartoon depicting the Islamic-founding prophet wearing a bomb-shaped turban seemed a tad reactionary, but another ruckus over an American cartoon dissing Rumsfeld and wounded military personnel merely added to the thought that people need to take a step back. I would also like to point out the ongoing genius of Doonesbury, and the storyline of BD, who lost his leg during a routine mission in Iraq. Especially the third caption in this particular episode:
