The E Ticket Ride
We were only in California Adventure for about an hour before the park closed and then we walked back over to Disneyland in time to watch the fireworks. Since we figured most of the guests were on Main Street watching the fireworks we would try to get on the revamped Submarine ride – now featuring “Finding Nemo” (that seemed like a tame enough ride for Tom). Well, the line to get on the ride was bout 6 miles long! So, we got on “Pirates of The Caribbean” which has been updated and now includes lines from the movies and several life-like and very creepy Johnny Depp likenesses!

Whattey
But today, for the very first time, I saw a different side of Whattey. They went to see Disney’s “Finding Nemo” at the Music Room early today and suddenly she started crying. Turns out she was scared of the scene where, in the beginning of the film, a big, nasty fish (or was it a shark) attacked Marlin’s wife and their brood (and they disappeared entirely from the show). She’d probably even cry over the Tom and Jerry Show, as I was told that she’s also frightened of a rat being chased by a cat.

Review: Cars

Saturday Afternoon With Nemo
Gabe comes over and he’s sorta tired, so he plops down on the couch, and I make Drew get a blanket for him to stay warm and comfortable. We end up all watching (well, not Drew) Finding Nemo together. It’s a great movie.

Review: The Corpse Bride
Sarah, one of our employee said that it was a good movie, so we decided to watch it. But we just couldn’t get into it.. for reasons unknown. Maybe, it is the way the movie is done.. not really anime nor like Finding Nemo type. Just so different. I wouldn’t watch it again. But then one man’s meat is another man’s poison right..??

Invasion Of The Double Entendres
I was still out collecting children when she got home from work and had to step over three large plants, two extra chairs and several boxes to get at her desk. Then when the kids arrived and demanded immediate access to a laptop to watch “Finding Nemo” (by the way – there’s a fab fish & chip shop just outside Selby called “Frying Nemo”) and sit on her chenille rug to eat double pepperoni pizza with mustard dips, she decided that enough was enough. The kids were going to bed at 5pm tonight.

Bawling
Speaking of hitting you in the heart, I’m so not ashamed to admit I bawled while watching Finding Nemo on TV tonight, even though I’ve seen it five times. Just keep swimming, boy. Just keep swimming.

You Know It's Bad When ...
You know it’s bad when you are on a grown-up date attending the Lord of the Rings symphony with your husband, and you lean over to tell him that this particular piece sounds like the music from the Mount Wannahockaloogie scene in Finding Nemo.

Chick Flicks
As the years go by, it seems that I am becoming a more emotional person. While this may not necessarily be a negative thing in itself, it can be somewhat inconvenient at the theater. Watching “Finding Nemo” and crying into my popcorn isn’t exactly something I like to do in public. Especially since I am not the type that can shed a few tears gracefully. No, not me. Almost instantly, my eyes get red and puffy and my nose swells to twice its normal size, beaming brighter than Rudolph’s. Worse than that, I don’t recover from a cry very quickly. Can you imagine taking me to a nice dinner after seeing “The Notebook”? (Incidentally, I deliberately avoided seeing it because everyone told me what a tear-jerker it is.)

Renewed Ties Between Steve Jobs And Disney
First, we must look at the state of one of Disney's cash cows, the family movie industry. Michael Eisner's reign as CEO of Disney drained to company of any creative talent. They couldn't produce a hit if their life depended on it. So along came Steve Jobs and Pixar and with a distribution deal came some great movies like Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and the Incredibles. Of course their contract is just about up, and Eisner and Jobs had a falling out of sorts with Pixar wanting to find a new distributor.

Speaking "Whale"
I also took him out to eat Fazoli’s for dinner tonight. It was kids eat for 99 cents day, too! We enjoyed pasta and each other’s company. Towards the end of dinner, he was making funny faces and noises. I guess it reminded him of Dory from “Finding Nemo” because he kept laughing and saying “Dory - Memo”. You know, the part where she thinks she can speak whale and says things in a deep, “whale-like” voice, like, “Weeee Need to Fiiiiind Hiiiiiis Soooonnnnnn!” It was too funny! The people around us were looking over, probably wondering what a near two year-old could possibly be doing to make me laugh so hard.

MADAGASCAR!
HOLY SHIT. This movie was freakin AMAZING. Full of emotion, this phenomenol DREAM work transformed paroxysms of laughter into silent sobs of anguish. I highly recommend all of you FINDING NEMO

lovers to run out to the theaters tonight. There were soo many sexual connotations in that movie, but funny thing is– the wee little 6 yr olds were bursting with laughter when a hippo surfaces from the water screaming sex appeal. Oh, better yet, when Alex the lion (Ben Stiller) was about to ram a gigantic wooden trunk up Melvin the giraffe’s...

Review: Finding Nemo
Who knew...Finding Nemo is an underwater adventure between a father and son. Nemo, a boy clownfish, is tragically stolen away from the safety of his coral reef home, and his timid father must search the dangerous and unforgiving ocean to find him. Not only that the movie is beautifully made but the kind of struggle that that boy clownfish goes through to get back to his father is really inspiring. The father fish also shows tremendous love for his baby to go through hardships to ultimately find his son.

The Finding Nemo Effect
By the way, try looking at Blade Runner, or some dark movie before you buy your next LCD or flat panel TV. The finding nemo effect means bright vivid colors look great on LCD, but this does not translate into good looking regular movies.

Submarine Rides Makes a Comeback at Disneyland
I remember the Submarine ride when I was a kid. To me it was magical. It was a little disappointing when I found out it was closed the last time I visited Disneyland. Well, I'm happy to report that it is coming back, although I'm not thrilled about the new "Finding Nemo" theme.

Mini-Entertainment Tested on Mini-People
To test the personal appeal of mini-entertainment, Hyers turned to his own children, ages 3 and 5. He downloaded movie trailers for "Harry Potter" and "Finding Nemo" to a personal device and passed them the little screen. "They watched it over and over," Mr. Hyers said.
