Redesigned Character
My new little logo I created at SP-Studio where you too can create your own little South Park character. I liked the way I could get books and cards into it - two of my favourite things. You might have seen an earlier version in an avatar I use around the place - it’s a bit racier - I’m (it is) wearing a red bikini.

Minh over at the Microsoft enthusiast community Channel9 has finally revealed what he has been teasing in the past week or so, an animated movie about Microsoft he’s been working on. It’s all being done in Anime Studio and Windows Movie Maker. Here is the trailer he released today, with the full movie coming soon.

Real World Of Warcraft
I’ve never played the game, but I guess it’s a big deal (to some). The closest I’ve gotten to World of Warcraft is the South Park episode where they all get really fat and Cartman shits in a bowl that his mom is holding. But that’s neither here nor there.

I love this video from South Park. They usually have the greatest humor that I see on TV. Of course then some episodes just suck, but most lately have been awesome.

The Weight Of Words
Having said that, I find it amusing that the negative words that refer to selfishness are always a form of ethnic slur - being “niggardly” is being cheap or unwilling to share, if someone tries to financially screw you over, the words “jew” and “gyp” come into play. The recent controversy of the “n word” reminds me of that South Park episode where they say “shit” over 100 times, and it is revealed that the word itself is cursed, and that saying it too often will mean the destruction of society. For a while, I think comedians like Dave Chappelle had lampooned it so effectively that the word had been robbed of its power. Apparently not.

Ferrari Cake
In South Park's latest episode the lampooned the Three Stooges, replacing Larry, Curly and Moe with Bundy, Dahmer and Gacy... Hilarity ensued. If you want to watch the full episode of this, check it out here.

Like Officer Barbrady
Adding Brandon Davis to our category list under the heading “celebrity” physically hurt us, it really did, but we make sacrifices for you, dear readers. Anyway, the night before last, Brandon Davis and a giggling Paris Hilton were filmed exiting a club, obviously well into their cups. Davis, who inexplicably always looks so clammy that his fleshy neck chills us to our very core, went off on a four minute and thirty second Lindsay Lohan diatrabe. Watch the video here and listen in wonder as Brandon, in a phlegmy voice eerily reminiscent of officer Barbrady from South Park, waxes poetic on such topics as whether or not Wilmer Valderrama is “in a mariachi band”, the exact color, shape, and odor of Lohan’s genitalia, and the sad fact that Lindsay is “only” worth a “disgusting” and “poor” seven million dollars.

South Park Religion
Which actually brings me to another point. Anyone that knows me knows that I love South Park. I have around 500 episodes on my hard drive at the current time. Well, 1 of the 2 main black charactors, Chef, left the show after an episode featuring Tom Cruise and a closet. Apparently Chef left because of the jokes about Scientology. Which makes absolutly no sense. Its okay to make fun of Catholics (the episode with the preists having sex with children), jews (almost every episode), islam (episode w/ Family Guy), and almost every other religion out there but as soon as they say something about your religion, you can leave. That makes absolutly no sense.

Too Self Concious
I literally have been running myself ragged, and this evening I finally reached the "I can’t do no more" stage. After dinner (reheated lasagne — Stephanie’s vegetarian version, quite delish), I thought about doing more work, maybe pack away some stuff…but my bod said, "Uh uh, no way." So I watched an episode of South Park (my guilty pleasure…although I’m not finding the show all that enjoyable anymore… They have some funny moments, but it seems to be becoming too self-conscious and deliberately provoking).

Getting Better All The Time
All in all I'm doing well today. For some reason there's a South park episode that keeps giving me an error message when it's almost done downloading from iTunes. I've been able to download other stuff since then, and I have my McAffee privacy service turned off (the programs hate each other). Oh well, whatever. So long as I can download the new Battlestar Galactica episode this afternoon, I'll be fine. If I have trouble with BG, then someone at Apple is going to lose a testicle.

South Park Reruns
Welcome to the new year. I started mine with the flu. New Year’s Eve was spent at the usual party where I felt crappy and bitchy, but tried my best. After midnite I ended up snuggled on the sofa watching South Park but not being able to hear it over the karaoke. I did enjoy seeing my husband sing karaoke. He’s always so against it, but someone managed to force him to sing once and he just kept on singing. It was great. But I felt like crap and couldn’t enjoy it fully. Plus everytime I had tried to sing someone jumped in front of me or took my microphone. I got too mad at everyone to care anymore and secluded myself to South Park reruns.

South Park Takes On Scientology
I got an email from my brother yesterday imploring me to watch the latest episode of South Park. I used to watch the show when it first started airing in 1997, but I’ve since stopped because the scripts tend to be unfunny and seemingly thrown together, with an offensive concept or two to bind the whole thing together. But my brother said this episode mocked Scientology and R. Kelly’s “Trapped in the Closet” song-cycle, both of which have been the source of much of my amusement, so I had to watch.

Comedy Central Going Downhill
Comedy Central why do you do this to me? the channel’s programing has gone down hill the past year. To say the channel’s programing has ever been quality entertainment is a bit of a overstatement in itself. The network has had my viewership over the years from shows like The daily show, chappelle show, south park, and the the syndication of the kids in the hall. But I believe that the network executives think just because of the success of chappelle show they think they can give a show to the next controversial comedian and it’ll be a hit.

The Complete Sixth Season
374 minutes of animated beauty, the South Park season 6 DVD, is coming. This season featured my favorite episode of all time, Jared Has Aides, in which the the Subway sandwich guy proclaims he lost his weight thanks to getting aides. AIDS jokes never worked so well. Of course, Amazon has it on a preorder sale at $34.99 (down from $49.99). You should, like, buy it, or something.

A Dream?
During my nap, I had an interesting dream. I was over at my friend’s house watching TV. Normally, he does movie night, where a bunch of people get together and watch weird old movies. (In fact, I was there last night.) In my dream, though, they had a DVD full of short little cartoon skits. The skits seemed to fall along the likes of Family Guy or Robot Chicken, and they were all 1-10 minutes long. Sometimes they’d space out a couple skits, so there would be one skit with the same characters, then a different one, and then it’d switch gears and go back to the first set of characters (think commercial break.)

Paris Hilton And South Park
How do I feel about Paris Hilton? I think South Park, that imaginative commentary on American culture, did the best job ever of defining her last season in their episode, "Stupid Whore.” She is a superb reader of how to hype herself, as is Bill O' Reilly, in our society. While she is hardly educated in a classical sense, she is certainly a brilliant reader of today's cultural mores. She is quite smart on how to manipulate the media for her gain. While O'Reilly can rant about her all he wants, he has to share responsibility for helping her along her way.

Review: Team America: World Police
On the flipside, I also watched Team America: World Police. Now, I like some stupid shit. I will laugh at the weirdest and sometimes unfunny things, but this movie was plain stupid. I found nothing entertaining about it and the puppets were getting on my damn nerves. And if you are thinking that you might go get stoned, then watch it, cause maybe it will be funnier then.....don't. It doesn't help. There were a few funny lines in it, but I really think the South Park dudes need to stick to South Park.

Review: Team America: World Police
Review: This movie comes from the odd, yet brilliant, minds of the creators of South Park (Parker and Stone) and is quite innovative. The use of all puppets and scale models throughout the movie made it hilarious as well as the jokes. The fight scenes were stupidly amazing, the story was great and the soundtrack is hilarious. It’s also always fun to see a bunch of puppets, portraying actors, get blown up. Although some parts were too stupid to be funny I thought this movie was a hit.

Review: Cannibal The Musical
This Film has been sitting in my DVD collection for a few weeks now but i finally got around to watching it last night. I wasn't sure what to expect at first as i had always heard dubious mumblings from other people about its quality. However being a huge South Park (Well, Matt and Trey in general) fan I held on to my faith and gave it a go. After a lengthy introduction from Lloyd Kauffman (of Troma fame) it begins. As soon as i see Trey Parkers wide eyed innocent looking face plastered with a crappy fake beard I start giggling....I knew I'd like...

Television and movie Standards
I tend to stay away from stuff that seems to glamorize evil. I can’t stand mob movies, and there are so many of them. I do love satire, so I love the Simpsons, Arrested Development (such a funny show) and Futurama, but I refuse to watch South Park or Family Guy. They cross too many lines.

South Park Republican Defined
In case you're wondering ...
South Park Republican is a term that was circulated in a few articles and weblogs on the Internet circa 2001 and 2002, to describe what was claimed by the authors as a "new wave" of young adults and teenagers who hold conservative and libertarian political beliefs. The phrase was coined in 2001 by commentator Andrew Sullivan in response to the two principal creators of the television show South Park declaring themselves to be Republicans.
Be sure to check out the gallery. And go make your own South Park Republican while you're at it.
